The Sahara Soul idea came to me in early 2016. I was 15-Years-old in year 11, living in Perth, Western Australia. Within a few short years, I lost my grandmother to suicide, had three hip surgeries amongst many other health difficulties which forced me to drop out of the state netball team, my parents separation and my dog passed away.
But instead of allowing these challenges to consume me, I channelled my emotions to motivate me into launching my own business.
At the beginning I wasn’t sure what I wanted to create, I just knew that it must allow me to find my passion and live to the best of my ability. The reason for focusing on tanning products was to give women the same confidence that I felt being a few shades darker. Building confidence is a huge thing in todays society that I truly believe we, as a whole , need to work on. I found myself feeling a lot more confident in my body when my skin was looking healthy and bronzed. I wanted to create something affordable and excellent quality that contains great skin care ingredients that can help women feel beautiful and confident in the same way it has helped me.
This is where the Sahara Soul brand was born. Almost three years later the vision of Sahara Soul is now a reality. We have been launched for approximately 9 months and are continuing to grow week by week, working with Hit 92.9 Radio Presenter and Influencer Heidi Anderson, Sports Illustrated Model Kate Wasley and being featured in a feature article by Daily Mail, we are growing tremendously fast.
If anything I hope the Sahara Soul brand can motivate other young entrepreneurs like myself to make the most of their opportunities and aspirations…
