How to prepare for a tan: Preparing for a tan is really quite simple, start by exfoliating as best as you can and remove any unwanted hair the night before or morning of. It is best to come to your appointment free from make up, moisturiser, deodorant and perfume. Remember to bring along some loose dark clothing to pop on afterwards.

When it comes to choosing a day for your appointment we always recommend one to two days before depending on the occasion. If it is for a wedding or ball two days before is normally what we advise to ensure the most natural look. The tans we provide last very well. Lasting anywhere from 7-10 days, this may vary depending on every individuals skin. To get the longest possible life out of your tan moisturise religiously! We recommend using coconut oil as your moisturiser as it is amazing for the hydration of your skin.

When it comes to washing your tan off depending on the type of solution you are sprayed with the time may vary, we always recommend sleeping in your tan to give it the ultimate amount of time to develop achieving the greatest depth.

Spray tanning with pregnancy and skin conditions: By stocking the Oztan range as well as a few other brands we cater for skin conditions as well as pregnant or breast feeding women. Oztan’s tanning products are water based and do not contain alcohol, they therefore are suitable for people with sensitive skin and/or eczema. Vitamin E and Allantoin will soothe sensitive skin however, if you do have sensitive skin we always recommend a skin patch test. Spray Tanning while pregnant with Oztan is completely safe however we do recommend seeking advice from your medical professional first. The same goes for breast feeding, it is completely safe, we will just place covers over your nipples and avoid that area.
